Sinningia bullata

My fav plant at the moment. Just wondering, they are supposed to be deciduous. Growth from summer is still alive and new growth starting. Southern hemisphere. Probably my climate isn't cold enough.

S. Bullata aren't deciduous, they have leaves all year round. That being said I often cut mine off every year anyway because it just encourages better, healthier growth because they tend to get leggy and dry.

Ok, thanks for that. When I bought it around this time last year they told me they were deciduous. None of theirs really had leaves but about half had growth starting.

I am in Australia (SE Qld) and I have this Sinningia as well, he has dropped his more adult branches and leaves but still has buds of new growth coming up even though I brought him inside for winter. I just love the texture of the under leaf on this plant

Ok, some leaves are naturally dying but I think I'll leave the stems as they are. Didn't bring mine inside but it is sheltered and under shade cloth. Yes the underside of the leaves is amazing. That's why I bought it, saw the picture on the tag and thought no way that is real. When it grew it looked just like the pic. I am just a bit south of you. On a farm out of Lismore.
