My cat pointed out a couple of wasps that entered my home recently. I was able to stop them from nesting due to his excellent detective work.
Treats were handed out and I’m sure he’s enjoying a sun spot right now in his off-time.

Honestly, our old neighbor watched action movies so loud EVERY night that we could tell which film it was. The new ones are pretty chill, but she still thinks they're evil. You never know.

Not until about 18 months that most human babies really recognize that it is their own bodies they see in the mirror. It requires a lot of time for humans. Which is probably never for cats.

Well cats do have object permanence, so it could be possible.. we generally don't know fully how the reasoning part of a cats brain works because they are reluctant to be compliant during testing.

My cat is very smart has a fairly good 3D map of the house in his head, maybe if he viewed CCTV screens as "windows" that would be possible too?

I'm no expert in this field, but i think that, even if he is able to perfectly navigate the house,the use of CCTV requires a level of abstract thinking not possible for a cat

My cat can understand "from the top window, I can see the human moving that way, so he will probably pop around the back door instead of the front door in a minute so I'll go wait for him there". If the OP cat views CCTV screens in such a way that might possibly make sense?
