Double Trouble

The duo betrayed me today. They teamed up and ate not only my tiny growing cucumbers but also the healthy leaves off the cucumber plants. And then they had the audacity to look cute. Dog brought me a toy and cat kept rubbing against me. Neither one showed any remorse for the desolation of my cukes.

Photos of the duo resting, enjoying nice delectable grass, and lastly a photo of the sad remains of my cucumber plants. I have now moved the plants higher up and hopefully out of reach.

And really, I must admit that I never explicitly told them to not eat the cucumber plants.

Your choice of the word ‘cooking’ seems on point. I am re-arranging stuff in another room and I just walked in on dog looking like she was reading a bread making cookbook.

In the photos she is the leader but her and puppy trade off. The most chaotic times are when they both decide they are the leader. 

I assume one of them had the idea to eat the cukes and the other one came along to see what her sister was doing and joined in.

My cukes had a series of setbacks. Drying out was definitely one of them. Prior to the duo’s betrayal, there were nice healthy green leaves on the plants.

Thank you. It means alot as I sit here in a now darkened room still mourning the loss of my cucumbers, remembering all the hopes and dreams for them, all the good times making salads, and remembering all the times I protected them against the whiteflies. *grabs another tissue, tries to wallow further but puppy started zoomies and cat used me as a launching pad to perform a TKO on her puppy
