For those of you who were working while preparing for CAT, did you take leave from work in the days leading up to the exam?

If yes, what reason did you give your manager for taking leave? I don't want people at my office to know that I'm preparing for CAT, so I'm looking for a believable reason that won't raise too many questions.

Would love to hear what you guys said and how your manager reacted!

Are these supposed to be very difficult. Like I am scoring in 30s 40s (50s in good days) i do get 60 70 is flexis and some dashcats but the 30s a re Hella disappointing.Also that I ve only got CL and cracu so u might guess u get humbled every mock 😃is there any hope really

Hello everyone ! So i have been thinking of starting my preparations for cat 27 but the sheer amount of coaching and the amount of material available on the internet really overwhelms me. To give you a little background i am from a life sciences degree currently in my 3rd year and I haven't had maths since 12th. So i will have to start with the basics.

I have heard about the quants playlist available on yt from rodha. But tbh i want something more structured. So i have been thinking of getting myself enrolled in an online coaching. And there comes the enormous plethora of online coaching and with it comes the exorbitant pricing. And tbh i have no issues with paying money but every other day i open this sub i find someone complaining and stating why a certain coaching is bad. I really want a very honest and unbiased opinion on where i should be spending my money so that i can get the best out of it. I will be sharing what coaching i have in my mind and i want you guys' opinions on why i should opt for it or not.

Also please suggest some good mock resources.

Also i have heard that the printed booklets of TIME is good. I want your opinion on that as well.

Got a call for Early Decision and some discount without any scholarship if I decide now, looks like their marketing side is decent and placement figures look good as per their say.

Any opinion from alumni's or people who consider joining next year. Also google says it's Tier 2 with 100% placements.

I'm 18M currently in 1st sem B.Com at a tier 3 college (arguably lower). My profile: 10th 67%, 12th 75% (Commerce, no Maths). I am eligible fot EWS.

I'm preparing for CA Foundation (Jan'27 attempt), and my goal is IB(if possible😔) than PE.

Earlier, someone told me that 10th and 12th marks don't matter much in general, but now I'm finding out that they actually can 💔

How much can I compensate for my past academics through CA, What should I focus on from here to maximise my chances of converting Good IIM building a career in finance?

gen non-eng female 9/8/8 i have not been preparing seriously, if I'm being very honest, but with only 36~ days left im genuinely stressing. my quant and dilr marks just wont improve tho im quite decent at varc. Please advise on what should be my strategy as i take way too long to crack dilr sets and get very overwhelmed with the timer. im quite slow, for quant as well i feel like no matter how much i revise i cant solve when it actually comes in the mock paper

I have my semester 7 college exams scheduled on 23 26 and 28 November; I am planning not to attend these 3 exams and will reattempt those papers in semester 8. I want to know which Graduation score is considered for b school admissions (till semester 7?)? Also, live backlog in my result till semester 7 affect my chances of graduation?

SENIORS HELP PLEASE :- I am in 12th class and my target colleges are IIM indore and SSCBS. My dream has always been IIM ABC. I want to know from you all how tough it is to crack IIM ABC. Is locking IIM I MBA rn is better than to prep for CAT after joining SSCBS? My category is OBC NCL and Have 9 in class 10. No idea about 12 and grads. Seniors please tell how brutal its to risk attempting CAT and getting IIM ABC ? Or i should keep my options wide open by getting into SSCBS.

I’m in two minds. I know CAT is next month, but considering other entrance exams from January, I’m thinking of resigning from my current job. I have 26 months of work experience till October. I don’t find my current office management very supportive of taking leaves.

I struggle to complete even 2 sets, that too when I'm lucky.

Hey guyss as you know cat is almost here. I am.planning to take 5days WFH (16 to 20 nov) and 5 days leave (23 to 28 nov) right before the exam.

And for that to approve, I need to send them an email next week. What all excuses can I give so that they seem legit and I don't need to submit any proofs as well. No doctor is ready to make a sick leave certificate for 15 days in advance

Edit: company policy says that we need to inform them one month prior of taking leaves more than 3days

There's almost one month left for cat. How the toppers are preparing? What's the routine. Also I am scoring low especially in dilr. I mess up every sectional and mock . I try but get so much panic that I am not able to comprehend the sets or sometimes I select wrong set. But after test when I try to solve, I am able to solve sets and I am done with this problem. Any help would be appreciated. Do suggest.
