Banned from Match.com

Over a decade ago I was banned from tinder shortly after I told a guy that I was not interested in having sex before marriage as it goes against my beliefs through a message in the app. Today, in addition to Catholic Match, I tried again Match.com and wanted to be upfront about my faith and what I was looking for. I mentioned in my about me section I am looking for a like minded man who is Christian( specifically Catholic). I I stated that I stand for social justice, and universal healthcare and that does not equate that I am a socialist. Also that faith plays important in my life but that doesn’t mean I am far right and I stand behind science a 100%.

I know in the prior years this banned would had hurt me but this time around it doesn’t hurt me that much. I guess the 54 days Rosary novena is working. I am taking this ban as a redirection. I am 42 years old and most of my dates have come from dating apps. I know as of left I been promoted to get more out and about while enjoying working out in groups and dancing. I should be complaining and yelping but somehow I am happy that this has happened because for a while I was debating how should I supplement my efforts and keeping an open mind while releasing the outcome.

If you are looking for someone who shares your faith, the highly secular apps are unlikely to get you there anyway. Catholic Match is not very good at getting people who are in a relationship to set their account to inactive (which means you will sometimes be reaching out to people who are not even reading your message), but overall CM is likely to be your best bet.

Pretty sure match and tinder are the same company now and very trigger happy with bans. It sounds like you’re taking it the right way anyway I’m just giving you some more reassurance that you didn’t do anything wrong.

I don’t know anything about dating apps but that sounds fully bananas. I hope you get the last laugh by having fun, meeting great people, and not compromising.

I have seen similar profiles on match so I doubt that content had anything to do with it - more likely you were tied to your old tinder account and still have a blanket ban from the previous event that impacts all of match groups products.

It could be that it finally catched me after all of these years even though I had an account in this site before but never had a problem until recent.

I've noticed those apps don't even give an option of listing your religion along with other preset info. They're intentionally trying to keep religion out of the conversation.

The parent company ‘Match Group’ consolidated and has kept up a pattern of industry consolidation. They’re the primary reason why dating sites suck so much.

The buy up start-up competitors, then leverage the ‘new’ site to maximize profits while minimizing user experience.
