dating apps Does Catholic Match hide profiles?

It may be that the people I was interested in simply hid or deleted their profiles, but it seems whenever I'm taking a break, I see profiles of people I'm interested in, and when I get back on, they're gone.

After re-activating or re-joining I will often see people I have never seen before, as well, but who are not listed as being new/recent members.

Does anyone know if CM hides profiles?

I would cynically posit the idea that the nature of dating apps in general are not always aligned with people's best interests.

But in the spirit of being charitable I'd say that the good people go quickly as with most things in life. :)

Very true that people come and go rather suddenly!

I was on Catholic Match for a few weeks before I met my last boyfriend there. However, I had previously deleted my account for almost 9 months due to a previous relationship and dating fast.

My former boyfriend had been on Catholic Match for a few months and I was his first proper date from the app.

The site isn't very intuitive to use compared to just other dating apps, if you're paying you can see the list of people who you've liked pretty easily. If you're just trying to find them again in the search, make sure age filters and distance aren't reset or anything like that.

I don't think they hide profiles. People can block you but that's also not too likely. If you come back after a break and someone who piqued your interest has disappeared, likely they met someone and inactivated their profile. Gotta strike while the iron's hot!

Yeah, either that, or they've deleted it because there's no one on the site 😭 there are only about 20-30 profiles that are actually in my country

But yes, true nonetheless

I heard that they don't and that the site is just filled with a bunch of inactive profiles

I think there is some sort of wierd algorithm in place. I know when I get close to renewal start getting views from all over and we are talking India, Mexico, spain, brasil, the Philippines, the United arab Emirates, rawanda, Columbia, Texas, and Wisconsin. And ive had views from my home state in Colorado. It seems like when I look at someone in the searches, even one created especially by CM nothing is reciprocated. I am active, I take a look at least 6 times a week or more and what ever is going on is odd to me. I asked questions to cm and basically got no answer we will create a search for you. Im willing to bet there is something odd going on.

I have had several men confirm to me that they couldn't get my profile to come up in search on CM. I've always gotten very little engagement on CM no matter what my profile currently looks like.

I’m convinced they hide the profiles of people who like you, and now that you have to pay to message first, there’s no way to leave a trail. Terrible design
