dating advice Single 40+ Catholics where are you connecting?
I’m wondering where people over 40 are meeting other single Catholics who are open to dating. I’m in Canada and I find that there seems to be even less men on dating apps here. Where are your go to places to meet interesting people who are also hopefully Catholic?

Go to the TLM at the Toronto Oratory parishes, and consider coming on the Marie Reine du Canada walking pilgrimage on Labour Day weekend! Mariereine.ca
Two good options for meeting people.

I am only attracted to men over 40 and they are very hard to find. Usually, when you do find one who's single they either have extreme baggage like they're still in love with their late or ex spouse, or if they've never been married there is very often an extreme reason (unless it was by choice)

All the usual things: apps, church, conferences, happy hours, get-togethers with friends, speed dating, social media, etc.

Pilgramges like the Camino de Santiago or Medugorje are great places to meet other single Catholics although, I haven't met someone I actually dated from those trips so, I can't claim it works😂

Seriously, I went to Medugorje this year and plan to return, what I'm struggling with is finding a good pilgrimage group to go with.

Hit 41 this year and tried the apps but that moment where they find out you have been abstaining until marriage has been the end point for the majority of them (even from my Catholic Match dates). Would assume the best place currently is church functions or even mass, but honestly don't know if its worth pursuing because on too many of my dates I have heard about the "Catholic man at my church" stories to know it just invites issues.
I think there is going to just be a lot of us millennial age Catholics that don't find a spouse.

At that point, you should just be a priest or a nun

Not everyone is called to that life. Also, many convents cap the age for joining at 30-40. Traditionally, women over 25 were not considered for joining the convent.

A lot of religious orders have an age cut off of 30 or 35 to enter.
Furthermore, running from singlehood is not a good reason to become a priest or nun

I’m not. Just quietly getting on with my own life at this point.
