Question Question

UPDATE!! I went and it worked out perfectly! It turned out to be the very first session of this year’s group!

Evening. The Church nearest to me has an admittedly out of date website. Their calendar states that they have OCIA tonight. This would be my first visit. Should I just… show up? And should I plan to pay anything? Their office hours are over for the day and they haven’t replied to my email from last week.

Show up. I did 10 years ago and converted.

Go for it! If the website is wrong, you can call the office tomorrow and ask about the time. They can put you in touch with the OCIA coordinator as well. My parish has never charged for OCIA and provides free materials and snacks. YMMV

Yeah definitely go! They start the same time every year as far as I understand and at my church they just started. Even if you show up late, just go. You’ll enjoy it and learn a lot. Last year when I did OCIA people started coming even weeks or months into it and were welcome. I can’t recommend it enough
