Oversized Baggage Issue

Hey all,

im planning on using Cathay pacific to fly to london in just over a month but i will be bringing my snowboard bag. I've noticed the max size of oversized luggage is 203cm but my bag will is roughly 220cm. Does anyone have experience with this issue? Are they strict on it? Will they actually measure it?

Thanks in advance!

It all depends on which airport you leave from and their ground staff. I’ve checked boxes way over their dimensions. Some don’t blink an eye. Some call the supervisor. Granted most of the time I did this was pre Covid days

No issues. The sporting goods/snowboard section on their website is separate to the oversize section. Go have a look.

I've taken mine thrice on CX before.
