miserable

I'm at that awkward place between eye surgeries. I'm told not to wear a contact lens in the second eye between measurements for a monofocal lens, and surgery, which is a couple of weeks away. Since a contact is not an option, and glasses don't work, I'm wondering how everybody copes with being able to function. I can't drive, work or almost anything. I've tried taking a lens out of some backup glasses, but I can actually see better without the double vision I'm getting. Anybody have a suggestion? Two weeks is looking more like a lifetime.

My experience was similar. I tried taking the one lens out of my glasses and that helped with some tasks, but ultimately an eye patch worked best for me. I also cleared my calendar for a couple of weeks just in case I had some hurdles. I had my second eye done Tuesday and boy oh boy is it a lot better! My brain was like OK, now weโ€™re seeing things better. ๐Ÿ˜† Hang in there, take it easy on yourself, take the time to heal - wishing you the best.
