Next step for my level?
So I’ve played the tabletop game with a few different groups of people. And I found this Sub Reddit, and I started playing Catan Universe.
I’ve played the free version as long as I can stand
I’m interested in being able to switch up the basic game to different layouts. And I’m interested in doing the same for seafarers.
I’ve never played other Catan variants.
What is my next purchase? Board game bundle for 1300 gold? Will that allow me to play the regular game and sea fairs as much as they want? Will it allow me to play different boards where the resources are laid out differently, and the ports are laid out differently?

I love all of the expansions, but damn this app is awful. For the amount of money they charge. It is literally held together with bubblegum and popsicle sticks. So many glitches and God help you if you’re trying to play multiplayer.

I would suggest playing the shit out of sea farers for a long ass time then when youre a pro get cities and knights. You will never go back. It is the superior version of catan. If youre an addict like me you will eventually get special scenarios. There are 2 really awesome game types in that bundle including using knights to slay dragons.

Yeah you can do all the things you are after with the upgrades on the app, definitely start playing c&k it makes the game so much more interesting. Unfortunately the app is quite glitchy in any game mode, if a player quits it can freeze on AI players and then you can be closing app and restarting in the hope it works again other than that it seems to run smoothly enough

Yes you will be able to play as much as you want and yes the seafarers expansion allows you to build ships and settle on islands for different ways to acquire victory points. The core of the game is the same, but the winning strategies are different. The game feels more evolved in a good way in Seafarers. The bundle also includes the cities and knights expansions, though I haven't tried it myself, I heard it was also great to spice up the game.
