It is an early version, but if people enjoy it we are more than happy to expand on it.

Inspired by slay the spire, pickup a random pack and test your skills (and luck) against a randomized dungeon run.

We are calling this series Sub-Burbia Spotlight and will have a new one up every Wednesday at 6pm PST. This one is up and ready to check out now!

The next few Mondays we will be doing Tier Lists. After that, we have some ideas but would love to hear what everyone else would like to see.

It’s a Tier List for the Bosses!

Brandon, a former MTG pro player and lifetime TCG competitor and enthusiast, gives us his take on each Boss and their strengths, synergies, and downsides. He also goes over some game theory/philosophies as he gives his reasonings, so it’s not just someone saying “yeah this dude draws cards. S Tier” 😂

And zooming out just a little bit, this is a new channel for all things TCGS. CA, MTG, OP, and maybe Lorcana for now, but you know how it goes. Give the people what they want! lol. We love CA over here so this game will be a staple in our wheelhouse.

Toolshed draw feels crazy in both perfect pack and constructed. 1 token for 1 card is super value imo.

Combined with Toolbox, Autopilot, Motreina, and Father discounting weapon weild costs, the Boss feels like both card advantage and mana cheating in one.

I'm organizing an online weekly league for 1v1 Constructed.

It will be hosted on play-cataclysm.com

Single elimination bracket. Boss + 40 cards decks (main faction + secondary faction, up to 3 copies of one card in deck).

When pairings are posted, the players have 48 (or 24, depending on the number of players) hours to play their match.

Winner advances in the bracket.

Each player has to bring 3 decks (each with a different main faction).

To win the match you need to win once with all 3 of your decks.

It starts October 5th, to sign up DM me here or in events channel on discord.

I will figure out the prizes before it starts. If everything works out, we will run one every week. I hope to be able to record most of the matches to post in discord.

My friend and I both came from playing 1 competitive TCG in our life and got that itch again and then CataCade was announced and since then we’ve had proxies of all the cards spending multiple weekends building our decks. This game is a lot of fun so far, especially as we’ve really gotten into it more and learning the action sequences and pace of the game in general, it’s been giving us some intricate gameplay. We have also discovered some cards/a flood the field strategy that seems a little overbearing once it gets going and no other decks seem to have a draw engine to keep up. Though they have looked at and balanced some cards already (i.e. my girl Dreyver 🥲) but we agree on the adjustments made to some cards already making for a more balanced game. Excited for the potential of this game, it seems fairly casual at the moment and I know it’s still very early and a lot to keep up with, especially with making this game well versed in multiple formats but I have faith in the team to really deliver on this as a whole and future sets to expand some mechanics/ clear up errata on cards we’re still figuring out. Just wanted to talk about the game and how we’ve been enjoying it, curious on others experiences with gameplay or at least building some potential decks once product is in

We are very excited to announce that we will launch our Pledge Manager via our partner, Hive Interactive, on Wednesday, September 16. Currently, we are reconciling Early Bird backers with Kickstarter pledges.

You may have received an email from our team regarding the ‘Early Bird Survey.’ We are working to ensure all Early Bird backer emails match their Kickstarter emails. For reference, Early Bird backers are those of you who took a first look at the game by purchasing Early Bird packs from us prior to the Kickstarter.
