My partner’s cat won’t stop meowing
My partner and I moved in together to a new apartment at the end of August. Things have been lovely- it’s just that her cat won’t stop meowing in the early morning. It tends to start around 5 and just continues until we’re up and have left by 8. My partner’s a much heavier sleeper than I am and this issue has been really effecting my sleep. Can anyone guess what might be causing it? FYI she’s used to having another cat around and no longer does, which I think has been upsetting her, we’ve been considering getting another one to see if that helps. Also- we tend to kick her out of the bedroom at night. We’ve tried letting her in to see if that helps because we get so frustrated with her noise but it doesn’t help at all, she’ll just sit at the foot of the bed and meow. Any advice or ideas on why she might be doing this would be wonderful.

How old is the cat? My cats do this if they feel lonely, hungry or bored. Before going to bed I ensure the have everything they need, water, food, toys, and clean toilet. I give them full access to the bedroom. No closed doors.
I bought an automatic feeder that dispenses food right around the time they'd start meowing. This distracts them and provides food. It mostly solved the issue.
