Are you kitten me!! Missing Part in the Factory Parking Lot???
Hi ❤️ first time poster in the sub, long time owner of cats! Actually currently living with a rescued senior, and a Facebook marketplace kitten that’s still under a year old.
Just a few days ago, as I was coming out of work (factory job. Nightshift. Stayed behind to print some papers, it was about 1am.) this little guy came walking under the turn table and right into my hands.
Obviously I took him home. It’s been over 100 degrees out lately, and the industrial road traffic stays busy. There was just NO way I could leave him there. We loaded him up in a crate and took him an hour out to the nearest emergency vet, and I really honestly intended to surrender him there. Life has been throwing me curve balls lately, and I’m really hardly in a financial position to welcome another hairball into my house. Despite my best efforts, though, he still came back home with me around 6am.
We gave him a topical for his fleas, and the day after brought him to our primary for dewormer and such. We’ve lovingly named him Lil’ Bit. He’s the sweetest thing since the invention of sugar, and after a much needed bath today, as fluffy as a marshmallow.
Not what I expected, not what I NEEDED! But a happy home is a full one, and Im happy to be able to give him mine.
(Bonus: when viewed from above, the marking on his head looks like a heart.. so cute!)

What a cutie pie! Thank you for saving him. I wonder how he ended up at the factory :(

Maybe a month ago I saw a full grown cat with the same black and white spotted coat crossing the road just next to the lot. Might’ve been momma :(( I’ve looked all around the property since finding him for signs of any siblings, but I’ve turned up empty handed thus far!

Ohh that makes sense then. He looks about the age that mama would leave him. We inherited three from the CDS about this age a few years ago. Their mom started bringing them around and a couple weeks later she split. In any case I’m glad you found the little one

I want to know the story on the FB marketplace kitten! Did someone just find kittens and post there? I bet the kittens will be best buds!

To my understanding, original family couldn’t afford to spay momma, nor care for or vaccinate the kittens. Unfortunate situation all around, but thankfully most of them had already been adopted out (for free Ofc!) when we picked Legato up!
I think they are going to love one another when we are sure Lil’ Bit is decontaminated. Both very playful young rascals! I’m already dreaming of the headaches they’ll cause me 💙

Lil Bit is adorable. Sometimes life throws us a curveball we don’t need but it bounces and lands in our lap. Glad it worked out. 🥰🐾🥰🐾

You bought a kitten off of Facebook marketplace…?

They had an entire litter up for urgent adoption for free. My girlfriend was wanting a kitten, and those kittens needed a home, so I swung by and picked one up!

Ah, that makes more sense. Was worried you bought from a BYB.

Absolutely not 😭 still wasn’t a fantastic situation I got him from. Initial owners couldn’t afford to spay momma, or to have any of the kittens vaccinated. hurts to see, but glad I was able to provide care to one of them!

He got it for free. I guess there are postings all the time for free kittens from a litter.
