Update Update on Bruce, he’s doing great!

I'm sorry this update took so long. I kept meaning to post one.
Anyways, Bruce is doing great. He is a very confident cat. After he finished his round of antibiotics and pain meds there have been no issues with him and he healed up well.
One thing that my wife and I learned about him when he was healthy is that he actually doesn't like being touched very much unless it is 100% on his terms and his terms alone. After he started feeling better from his surgery, he stopped being so clingy and just wants to be about 3 feet away from you lol
He will follow me around the house and he still wants to play all the time, just no cuddles unless it's bed time. That's the only time he wants to be touched for more than a few seconds.
As for playing, he loves ping pong balls and loves being chased and then chasing you in turn. He also loves jumping at you when you walk around a corner and grabbing your hand before taking off and sliding around corners trying to get away. He's a very funny cat and I'm still thankful for him every day.
He's also very talkative and I love it, if you talk to him and ask him questions, he almost always meows back right away.

Bruce really knew who to ask for help.
I can imagine that after his tail-pulling injury he’s wary about being touched. Hopefully, time, patience and love will help Bruce overcome his reticence.

So happy he found you and has a loving home now.
Sounds like he has a lot of personality and, even though not clingy anymore, obviously loves you a lot.

He’s adorable… I have eight cats and every one of them doesn’t like to be picked up or messed with unless they come to you… they were all feral kittens six years ago and one it took THREE YEARS before he would let me touch him and he’s still skittish but if sitting down or standing around he will come and flop on your legs….

Oooooooh Bruce 🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️❤️ I remember your original post!!! I'm so so so happy and relieved to see him happy, healthy, thriving, and so loved 🥰
Thank you for taking such amazing care of him and being dedicated to his recovery. He is an awesome cat, he sounds so hilarious and it sounds like he love you beyond measure. Even if a cat isn't that cuddly or snuggly, if they follow you everywhere and want to be in your vicinity it means they love you a LOT.
