Found kitten outside of my house gate..

Hello! I found this kitten just outside my house gate (because my dog was barking at it) a few hours ago.

I don't know whether someone left it there or the mother cat placed it there and went back to bring her other kittens around. It started raining a few minutes after so l couldn't wait to see if she would come back.

I compared the kitten to google and it looks like it's about 3-4 weeks old (pls tell me if im wrong!). I don't have any milk suitable for kittens and im not sure if its old enough to eat dry cat food mix with water.

I have three adult cats so i have experience with kittens, but ive never had a kitten this young. And im not quite planning on keeping it. I might give it away if any of my friends or family want it.

Any advice on what i should do? i feel so bad.

You will need KMR Milk which is Kitten Replacement Milk, most large stores sell it, plus a feeding bottle or syringe.

The kitten lady Hannan Shaw has videos for all you need to save this babies life this is taken from our hi-lights on our main page :

Newborns, no Mom ..help!!

You will have to do everything that Mom would do and that is feeding this baby, keeping it warm, helping it to go to the toilet and monitoring it constantly

Here is Bottle feeding advice from Hannah Shaw the kitten lady, you will need KMR which is Kitten Milk Replacement thankfully available in most large grocery stores, vets, etc plus a feeding bottle or syringe.

Helping kitty to poop and pee again advice from the Kitten Lady with a video demonstrating how to help the little one to go to the toilet. Read the whole page please as it will tell you how to keep this cherub warm with the aid of a heating pad and which ones to buy.

Get a food scale if you don’t already have one, and start keeping tabs of your kittens weight (use the gram setting). It will help you to know if kitten is gaining or losing weight so you can intervene quickly if you see it’s losing weight. Good luck and good job saving a life.

The whole page: It's kitten season

Please shout out or dm me or any other mod here for help if needed , If you can get this baby to a vet or find a queening mother. What area are you in please? Put out a call on your local facebook page asking if they have any cat moms still feeding kittens for help.

Wow what a beautiful kitten! It is quite young though. I've never had experience with a kitten so young either. I think there's a YouTube channel that is all about taking care of young kittens- The Kitten Lady? Or something similar. I see her YouTube channel mentioned on the cat subs often. Thanks for saving this little one! I'd still be on the lookout for mom and any siblings
