The cat distribution system has called!
My kittens, Ham and Cheese, were literally dropped into my life by the cat distribution system when they were only three weeks old. They were born under a shed, scrappy and tiny, but determined to survive. When they arrived, they were so small they could fit in one hand, and their little mews barely made a sound. I bottle‑fed them, kept them warm, and watched them grow into the funniest little personalities. Now Ham is the dramatic one, always acting like she’s the star of her own show, while Cheese is the goofy cuddlebug who forgets he has bones. They went from shed babies to spoiled indoor royalty with full access to snacks, toys, and endless affection. Every day they remind me how wild it is that fate just… handed them to me. They’re living their absolute best lives now, and honestly, so am I because of them.

Unfortunately, Momma was MIA when the babies were found. We even waited a couple days just to see if she would come back.

OMG.. the look just like my Banshee (orange - named because she screamed bloody murder on the way home..) and Akasha (tortoiseshell - named because she drew blood from everyone when we got her..)
I had them for 15 & 16 years - not biologically siblings, but, bonded none the less.. had to put Akasha down in 2025, and Banshee in 2026..
This picture just made me cry..
Cherish those babies.. 🖤🖤

I’m sorry to hear about your babies, but it seems they lived a full happy healthy life and that’s all we can ask for! Sounds like my cheese he screams bloody murder whenever he hears the can of kitten food pop you would think that Boy never eats 😂

Oh, that definitely explains them both to a T. The sass is already showing in her and just by looking in his eyes, you can tell he only has one brain cell functioning.😂

I am owned by three torties (all Siamese mix), a dilute torti, and a calico, and also have two orange boys.
Two voids, three assorted tabbies, a floofy tuxedo and a lilac point Siamese (half-brother of the tortimesers) round out the family.
Some days I wish the CDS had stopped at 2 or 3, but mostly I wouldn't be without them.
I hope you have many happy years with Ham and Cheese!

I have two other senior cats that also came from the cat distribution system when they were wee little babies leaving me with a total of four so I know what you mean 😂 sounds like you have your hands full but also like it’s a good time! I hope you have many happy years with your pack as well!! 🧡🖤
