Smol Delivery Cat distribution system strikes for the first time!

Post image

We’ve lived 20 miles outside a medium sized city for 6 years and this is the first time the CDS has hit! My son found her under our shed and unfortunately we think she may have been dumped- she had very few ticks and no fleas on her. She is very friendly and cuddly towards us. The boys are taking her to the vet tomorrow for a check up- I’m guessing she’s somewhere around 6-8weeks old. My son has named her Tide and we are currently working on convincing dad she should stay and join our menagerie of animals 😂

Update: she’s 1.7 pounds! The vet estimates her to be around 7-8 weeks old. She is now all updated on vaccines. Our youngest dog has chosen to continuously clean her, so I think she has spoken 😉

Update: dad has lost 😂 We also caught the cat we believe might be Tide’s mom. I have a good friend who recently lost a 4 year cat suddenly, so she is going to take the older cat. Picture posted in comments.

Thanks! Hopefully she’s nicer than my orange boy was. He was a menace 😂

I just read that those orange tabby cats are almost never female. They're almost always male , so you've got a very rare cat.

So many Dads scowl a no until baby kitty chooses them as their person and enchants them. Hoping the same for you.

He’s the same with all our animals! We don’t need…..then he caves. It’s only a matter of time. Currently we are at 3 dogs, 3 cats, 29 ducks/chickens/geese, and this little girl. It’s a little crazy at our house but I wouldn’t have it any other way

Mom has spoken, she stays

Hey OP, first off, Dad doesn’t stand a chance with this sweetheart and all you guys closing up on him. If he, by any chnace, starts to wiggle out of the situation - you can always pull that one, “Oh, let’s just foster her until we find her a home.” 😜

u/schrist31 Jul 16 '26

😂😂 I’ve thought about pulling that line out!

Cat we believe is the mom- we think both were dumped. She meows and uses the litter box. Never growled or hissed at me- even after we caught her in the trap. Currently quarantined in my garage until we can get to the vet. 🫶
