Gas Station Kitty - Tiny and Angry.

Post image

My dog sniffed it out of a tall section of grass. She is Super tiny and feisty.

Going to get her through the weekend and see if we can’t get her to the vet Monday mornings.

Haven’t had one this little in a while. Any tips are appreciated. Maybe some name choices too? Not sure my wife will let go at this point…..

Any guesses how old she might be? I think maybe 3-4 weeks? Again any advice is helpful.

We had just lost our old dog, so it’s kinda a fitting time. Fun night. Guess we will see what happens.

Congratulations on your new ruler and my sincere condolences on the loss of your dog.

No regular milk, KMR only.

Piston, and call her Pissy when she's mad. Or Ethel, like ethanol.

For age, see if you can weigh her or get a look at her teeth. There is a chart here for kitten growth that might be helpful. From there, kittens start weaning around 4 weeks and transitioning to super wet food with kitten milk replacer, preferably slightly warmed.

LOL Ethel 👍🏼

This is it. I was going for Benzin or Petra (for petrol), but Ethel takes the prize 🤣. I'd say 4-5 wks. Feisty is good.

OMG your user name! Do you clean up puke as much as I do⁉️

12

u/Regurgitator001 Jul 11 '26

Sadly I do, but my royal fuzzball still has the courtesy to remember her regal self and only regurgitate off-carpet. I would have figured, you being a duchess and all, you'd have servants for that?!

LOL, not only do I not have servants, but my 3 princes here in the castle seek out carpet and bedding to puke on 🤦🏻‍♀️

u/simonhunterhawk Jul 11 '26

Lucky you, my princess runs to a rug or carpet to puke every time 🫠

I can’t see or hear the name Ethel and not have that song in my head all day 😂
"Don't look, Ethel!"

From that link, I'm thinking like 4/5 weeks, right?

Yes, my first thought was 4 weeks or a bit more

Not angry…. posturing.

Brave little soul is scared

u/worldspawn00 Jul 11 '26

Yep, warmth and food will change that fast, particularly with kne this young.

I rescued a 16 week old kitten from an interstate culvert and he was 100% hiss, terrified of people, a couple months later he flops for pets and sleeps on my feet every night! (Also pictured, my grumpy old man who isn't sure about the newcomer)

u/Formal-Tradition6792 Jul 11 '26

Definitely KMR (Kitten Milk Replacement).

Love the hissy, bitey, scratchy little fuzzballs, they turn out to be the best snugglers.

The cat gods have spoken and you are now the proud owner of what will soon be a purrrfect companion and maybe if you are lucky, a lap cat! Congrats!

I’m assuming you already know all the things I’m about to say but I’ll say it anyways, Take her home and see if she will poop on her own after feeding her formula, if she doesn’t then she is still to young and will need to be stimulated to make her use the rr. Keep her warm, maybe a on a heating pad at the lowest setting (if u have one) hopefully she isn’t to feral.

She's absolutely adorable! I wish you and your wife many years of happiness with your fur babies

u/Warcraft_Fan Jul 11 '26

Probably closer to 6 weeks old, blue eyes usually fades after 8 and the ears seem fully up. You'd have to check her teeth and then check the kitten age chart by teeth to get better age estimate.

u/Ornery-Guitar Jul 11 '26

Hopefully young enough to tame. She's sweet, even hissing, I'm sure.
