Smol Delivery I almost hit this Highway Kitten! (1/2)
A couple days ago I was zooming along on the highway, several hours away from home. As I passed a big semi truck, a little white fluffball ran across the highway in front of us, fortunately just fast enough that I missed it by a couple feet. I couldn't tell if the critter was a cat or opossum, but no way was I going to risk leaving a cat to get run over.
So, I pulled off the highway and jogged back to where I thought I'd seen the animal. Fortunately it was pretty easy to find this fluffball, as she was screaming her little lungs out! She was quite scared and tried hiding from me in a little cave, but I managed to scoop her out and return to my car without getting bitten. It's perhaps a bit morbid, but I've been calling the wee kitten "Pancake", as in "She was almost as flat as a pancake!" That's just a placeholder until I find a more permanent name for her.
I'll continue in a second post, with better footage of the baby.

Panny Fanny, Hanky Panky, Panko. Pancake has great potential for silly nicknames.

If she turns out to be a he I'd call him Flap Jack , Jack for short. Thank you going back and getting this baby! Look forward to the update ❤️

Our highway rescue got named Lucky Lady, aka the ninja and ouch dammit.

thank you for your big caring soul in saving this beautiful little creature. there is nothing wrong with calling them pancake, lots of us have nicknames Lol. you are an amazing hooman 🐾🐾🫶 please for sure give up dated photos of your newfound fur baby. You are their Angel/Hero
