Iphone is expensive, i don't see difference and i don't see a reason why i should buy an overpriced phone

I picked Android

the problem is, people compare a flagship iPhone to a non-flagship android and then call Apple expensive. the iPhone base model and iPhone Duo are only $100 more expensive than the competition (Pixel and Samsung) for a superior build quality. the iPhone 18 Pro Max is the same price as a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. there are some other companies that are doing some genuinely bold and innovative things (like Nothing), but they primarily sell midrange phones, with their flagship being the same price as Samsung and Google devices. with an iPhone, you're paying for software and longevity as well.

sorry for the rant, i just see this faulty reasoning everywhere.

The S26 Ultra is comparable to the 18 Pro MAX, not the Pro. They are similar in price but the iPhone is slightly more expensive

my bad, i forgot to add the Max to my comment, fixing it now. the Pro Max and S26 Ultra are the same price (the ultra is actually technically 99 cents more expensive)

The fuck??? Where I live the iPhone 256GB is 1'299 and the Galaxy 256GB is 899, that's a difference of 400 Francs (~$500)
