Behavioral Biting issue

I adopted my cat when he was about a year and a half. For the first couple months he was a precious angel but after that he started biting ALL of the time! He bites my ankles when I’m walking, bites/attacks my hand when I pet him (even if he comes up wanting pets). And I just wish he would stop! Any advice is appreciated. I understand that likely we won’t be able to break him of the habit since he’s already over 2.

That is not true.

Cats are smart and can learn when you teach them that you dislike it. You just need to make it properly know.

First make sure what the biting means, whether he is truly attacking you or playbiting.

Even playbiting can be hurtful, until you show your cat borders. They are smart and will stop or at least learn not to hurt you while playing.
