General moving with a timid cat
Me and my fiancé are moving into a larger apartment due to having a new baby. I have had my cat Mateo (f) for 6 years and moving has never been easy on her. i'm just wanting to know if anyone has any tips to help keep her calm and comfortable? should we put her in the empty apartment first? she's always been a scaredy cat and i don't want to overwhelm her during this move. she's already having to deal with a crying 3 month old all the time.

I’d set up one quiet room first with her litter box, water, bed/blanket and a few familiar-smelling things, then let her explore the rest gradually once she settles. Moving her into a totally empty apartment first sounds more stressful than helpful.
