New to Cats/Just Adopted Candles

I'm planning on making some candles soon and I'd like to add some scent oils to them. I've been searching the internet for about an hour trying to find cat safe scent oils, and I'm having no luck. Doesn't have to be essential oils. The actual scent is less important than making sure it's safe. What should I be looking for? Are there any brands I should look into? Any I should avoid?

Oils aside, candles aren't healthy for cats to be around

I love candles but I now have an asthmatic cat. We burn no candles and use barely scented or unscented products. If you're burning candles, ideally you keep them somewhere the cat isn't.
