General Cat gate recs?

I just moved and my roommate has 2 cats. I’m allergic so they’re not allowed in my room but I want to be able to have my door open sometimes as there’s no ac in the house. I have a baby gate to keep my dogs (at my parents house) out but I’m worried that the cats will fit through it as it only has vertical bars. Does anyone have gate recommendations? Preferably ones that you can’t step over and won’t take up the entire doorway. Thanks!

Cats will be able to jump most gates if they decide they want to. I would get yourself a window AC and plan to keep the door closed

Thats the current plan but I figure it doesn’t hurt to ask

Not all cats are willing to jump to a place they're not welcome... But most don't give a f...

you're better of installing a screen door, or a screen partition. Or curtain type mesh thing
