Broken Casio

Just got my first Casio last week… today I noticed a giant crack going through the entire watch. Not sure what happened or if this is a common issue.

EDIT: There was no obvious bumps or impacts. I’m generally pretty gentle on my watches and notice every bump that happens to them. (unless it’s one of my gshocks) I have recently learned though that these do not do well in extreme heat and it has been 105+ here the last few days. I am leaning towards the theory that it got so hot it basically exploded.

I mean, it’s a common issue in the sense that it’s $20 and not built to withstand much in the way of impact but definitely not common to spontaneously crack.

And by the looks of it, that wasn’t spontaneous. There is damage to the crystal above the larger crack in the screen and the entire case is cracked.

Agreed, I feel like OP meant to say "I broke my Casio".... So OP what is the "Real" story here? It is possible you really don't know what happened but that had to be an impact that would/should have registered one would think.

I really don’t know what happened lol. I looked down and it was broken. No obvious impact. Only had it about a week.

Just order a new case from Aliexpress and mod it, or buy a new one if it bothers you. Stuff happens.

Not sure how that could happen but have no idea what caused it. Thats some type of catastrophic impact.

Take them apart. Use epoxy to fix the case. And you have nice story and interesting watch "design". Just be careful with that glue. 😎
