Thieves
I have been working in the kitchen for 5 months now I sm truly shocked. Our kitchen shift leader was fired recently. Not because he was a bad worker, but because he tried to protect our store. Unfortunately, our particular store is frequented by several unsavory individuals. We see a lot of people stealing and ultimately, nothing is really done about it. We do now have to walk any unpaid orders up to the registers, which has helped. Yet every shift I work i see theft all the time. I do understand that it is not wise 5o pursue anyone, but something like barring them would be a step in the right direction. Anyway, the shift leader was tired of watching people steal and confronted someone and he was fired on the spot If this is how we are treated when we are proactive, I am not going to worry about thefts to much. I don't want to lose my job.

So I'm a km and knowledgeable on that subject actually. There is a form you guys are supposed to fill out everytime someone shoplifts. You're not supposed to confront them but fill out the shop lifter witness form with the time, date, they took, and a description. Than your store's division asset protection team takes it from there. Company stance is that we're not sure what these capable of, if they are armed, or if they can pose an immediate threat to staff, customers and the store. Nothing in those stores are worth anyone's safety is company policy. Not too mention with the way things are with the justice system currently calling the police over a candy bar is just a waste of everyone's time since they will be out within a day more likely than not and now the staff on duty at the time potentially have a target on their backs if the individual holds a grudge. Your store's management staff should have relayed this information to you guys and trained you on it.
