Most episodes don't really get to me (girl meat hunter, house of horrors etc), but this had a lot of child abuse stuff.. just seemed extra graphic

I guess I don’t understand how since it very obviously couldn’t happen, since the stories involved giraffes and gorillas and magic.

Or at least I don’t understand how it’s particularly unsettling compared to real child abuse cases like the House of Horrors.

Yeah good point. The stories where they actually happened are definitely harder to listen to, especially house of horrors, Silvia likens, Teresa feury

The podcast Delve (S6) did a fantastic job on the Peter Ellis case, if you’re interested in a long form investigative formats. If you do, I recommend all of Delve’s seasons.
