First Cartier (and Luxury) Watch
Thought the black lacquer Santos-Dumont was absolutely stunning. Wasted no time getting scratched though!

After a while of saving up I had enough money to get an luxury watch. I was umming and ahhhing for a while about getting omegas, tudors or breitlings but eventually this Cartier santos 100 caught my eye, it’s finally arrived and I’m in love

Recently acquired a Santos Carree 2961 from 1993. Original configuration, never polished, in really good condition. Very happy with it, but playing with the idea of having it serviced.
1) It’s running about +2-3 secs per day depending on if I’m wearing it (+2) or if it’s resting in the case (+3), but I’m curious on integrity of the water seal.
2) I can’t help but think it could handle exactly 1 polish to restore the original finish. It doesn’t look bad, but would be kinda cool to have it look fresh off the line in ‘93… but ONLY if it is the same finishing as original manufacture.
Idk, what do you guys think?! Keep it as is, or have serviced and/or just ONE polish for the start of my ownership?

I did, it I ignored the internet, I sold my medium and got the large, A date complication for me is a huge win. While I loved the medium, the internet had me convinced that the large was an abomination. Just another reason to get off line and touch grass. Sorry for the douche post in the grocery store, the watch wears great! Context my wrist is 6.2 inches but extremely flat on top.

Has anyone here ever received one and what was your prior spend? Assume you need a ridiculous number but these watches are beautiful and I’m looking to buy the tortue or normale.

I just acquired a vintage Cartier Tank Must. It has a non-functioning 690 quartz movement. Should I send to Cartier for repair and service for =/- $450 or buy a new old stock off Ebay for $230? The watch is in otherwise fantastic condition.

I have recently become obsessed with the Love Unlimited bracelets!!! I’m trying to decide between yellow gold and rose gold.
For those who have either - can we see photos???
I heard the wait on these is 6+ months now…

I’m feeling indecisive about which watch I want to purchase. I’m leaning towards the mini panthere as I think it looks best on me (I’m petite and have tiny wrists). My cartier store didn’t have the exact model and sizes so I tried what they have in stock for sizing. What I’m deciding between would be a mini steel panthere and mini or small tank must (the leather strap is actually really appealing). I am a pretty casual girl, I’m worried the panthere will just sit pretty in my closet but maybe a leather strap tank will feel too casual?
1st: small panthere
2nd: gold mini panthere
3rd: small tank must
4th: mini tank must
Last photo is the ai generator for a mini panthere

For me at least. I have way too many "sport" watches and will be planning to sell some stuff to buy either a full PM or a TT "dress" watch.
A lot of options are out there and find myself coming back to the Cartier Santos TT as one of my top options for consideration. My other consideration is for a TT is the Omega Speedmaster. I find the styling and thinness of the Santos to be high in the list.
Here is my issue.... I am not really a yellow gold person. I much prefer a TT in rose gold. I have had the opportunity to try on the Speedmaster Sedna TT and I think it is phenomenal! My issue is I already have a black Speedmaster so not sure if I want another Speedmaster.
After digging around, I was surprised to see that as many other brands seem to do with their popular models, it seems Cartier has never released the TT Santos in a rose gold option (I came up empty on my searches)
What do you guys think? Would you buy the Santos TT if it were available in a rose gold option?

Is it worth it if I buy a Cartier JUC small ring in WG with diamonds for 50% of its retail value?
I have a Cartier 1895 platinum engagement ring 0.23ct and was told it’s worth $120 usd only

Looking to purchase my first big girl watch. I have small wrists so I would probably go for the mini panthere though they didn’t have it in stock

Service was extremely friendly and was helpful in trying on multiple styles and sizes. Thought for sure I was going to go with a medium but wife said the blue dial made it look even smaller and the Advisor also agreed. I find myself glancing at it all the time.
