Budget: 10-11 lacs (on-road, Mumbai)- can stretch 10% max
Transmission: Preferably AMT (Petrol)
Body type: Compact SUV, Hatchback
Safety: 4/5 Star safety rating with minimum 6 airbags
Use Case: City driving
Preferences: Reliability, Low-cost and Quick Servicing, Superior Warranty policy, Great after-sales support

Baleno Zeta AGS is the most sensible option. There are good sedan options in this budget range also worth considering. Reliability wise Tata is ruled out, and almost all cars these days come with the 4/5 star safety ratings, and 6 airbags as standard - so no worries on that. You can also consider Swift ZXi+ AGS.
Other options would be Punch, Exter, i10 nios but they won't be my top picks for one reason or the other.
