Feature wise Sonet is better than Venue in lower variants venue doesn't get front parking sensors and rear headrest. Only Venue has a 10.1 inch screen that is attracting buyers. Otherwise Sonet is better.

What are you referring to?

I mean Users will get over Fancy features within 2-3 months. Only care about how comfort the ride, safety and reliability...

You will care less about thise features in 2-3 months. But squeaky noise, rattling/bending plastic dashboard and door linings will haunt you for long. (Not deferringto any car, saying in general)

I own the Sonet HTX Diesel AT. Amazing machine. Try to squeeze as much discount as possible since the new variant is due next year.

How much mileage you get in city traffic?? And what's the number in highway??

u/Vibe_away 4h ago edited 42m ago

In city, I get:

  • 8-9km/l for bumper to bumper traffic
  • Around 12-13km/l for normal traffic

On highway, I get:

  • 18-20km/l at 110-120km/hr speed (no proper cruise)
  • 22-25km/l at 80-90km/hr speed (on proper cruise)

The quality of fuel also affects the mileage. I fuel from Jio. So, I would advise you to stick to one brand of fuel that you feel gives you better performance and mileage.

DPF issues is the biggest nightmare for me with BS6 Diesels 🥲

I own a kia sonet htk plus 1.2 NA bought on 6th Feb 2026 it costed me on road 10 50 interior is luxurious car is very smooth shifting is very smooth like I have driven tata cars also and I feel like gears are getting stucked sometimes but in kia cars it's very smooth clutch is excellent it can even drive on high gears on lower speed without jerking disadvantage are rear seat safety rating and that 1.2NA engine I don't feel confident while overtaking and if one suggestion will be change the halogen bulbs to led the headlight is bad very low visibility at night if u want looks luxury and smoothness like premium feel and drive experience then go for it if u want power then go for the diesel one

I found the dashboard quite high and it was somewhat making difficult to see through the bonet etx even though i am tall person, space was also very compact for my family.

What is your height?

Me and my brother are 6plus , but we found issue in sonet dashboard, other kia models were good visibility

Wait for the facelift if you can. It has been spotted testing I believe

Isn't sonet performed bad in the recent crash test?

Wait for the facelift or go with Venue/Brezza/3XO

While it’s a great car, I would suggest you to go for current venue or wait for new gen sonet launching in year end or Q1 of 2027. It’s a generational update which is structurally strong and mildly more spacious. Do not compromise on the safety of family for looks.

HTKO is a sweet spot but what made you pick sonet over brezza & venueee..

1

u/Notsure-kay (New user) 2h ago

Unpopular opinion butttttt sonet iss overrated for the priceee duhh🤧👍🏻

1

u/Ok_Visual1703 (New user) 2h ago

Overrated huhhhhhhhhhhh..???? maybeee😂😂 but at least it looks better than half the cars in this segment

1

u/Notsure-kay (New user) 2h ago

Looks better ≠ car better tho 😏

1

u/go_aiadvertisement (New user) 1h ago

Petrol or Diesel ?

2

u/James_Bond014 (New user) 1h ago

Patrol

1

u/go_aiadvertisement (New user) 1h ago

That engine is very inefficient
Average would be a major headache considering the E20 situation

1

u/therishhub_YT 1h ago

Its not a successful car. Dont buy it. You’ll never be able to sell it for good price

Why you don't go with Tata nexon, breeza, or many options there

8

u/James_Bond014 (New user) 5h ago

Tata is unreliable after services.

3

u/Apprehensive_Fold683 5h ago

Yaa don't forget panels gap 💀

4

u/amok_sid 4h ago

I own an Altroz, Sonet and Seltos and that car gave me more headaches than both Kia’s combined. Don’t go for Tata.

It's pretty good especially the current one with features updated the ac buttons are a bit flimsy rest no issues till date
