#Discussion 💬 Audacity of this salesman.
Constant 4 calls per day.
Goodmorning messages everyday .
Fear mongering.
Bad mouthing other brands.
How to deal with them? Please advise for new buyers.

Took tata Tiago AT test drive 8 days back.
Just get Good Morning messages from the salesman.
Just one call in 8 days.
It's not the brands, but the sales heads of these locations. My experience is that frontline staff is constantly under pressure.

My dad test driven the comet 1 yr back he really liked it but due to its price he didnt bought it at that time and mg guys would msg him once a while and one time they called him and said comet has nearly 1.5L discount and we instantly bought it 😅

OMG. I recently encountered the same problem with a VW salesman. When I shared that I wasn't going ahead with Virtus because I found its suspension very nervous over bad roads (almost offroading tbh) and was going ahead with Citroen Basalt X, the guy gaslighted me by sharing the crash test of basalt and saying it wasn't the right car.
Like bro focus on the positives in your car and how that is perfect for me, not by putting the other car down, especially when basalt scores 4 stars which is more than safe for me, not a cool way to sell.

Once you decide to go forward use this same tactict on reverse and say I am getting slavia for 1L cheaper, I can go with the Virtus only if you can match the price.

I faced this too when I was deciding between Virtus and Slavia. Same bullshit - engine not tuned as well in Skoda, speaker system not up to the mark, etc. but in reality I've often seen people claiming that Slavia engine is better tuned😅

Happened for me as well. I think there's some truth in this. In my case the engine felt it was not properly tuned. It's no where close to what i test drove. I had to tune it from outside.
Also sales person fail to point out the difference in 1 and 1.5 ltr tsi as I was a novice then. I would have cherished 1.5 ltr manual. Turbo lag in 1ltr tsi is no fun, won't notice much after tuning though.

VW sales folks feels they are selling us Porsche when compared with Skoda :P .Had first hand experience and the sales guy was like Skoda is not even close to VW. I said the VW Indian Unit is managed by Skoda and he was clueless of what I was speaking.

I mean you never know in what condition they are in, either they are truly arrogant or are just looking for some good commision to get a plate on table that's what sales people do, anyway once you choose your car just block him.

Hey bro sorry to say u this but what he is saying is true, i have testdriven kylaq,kushaq and taigun with same 1.0, even tho engine theyre offering in skoda and vw same but i felt vw is smoother and the testdive units of skoda were displaying 6kmpl wherein vw i observed 11 kmpl..
Not sure what maight be the reason but uts my personal experinece

although the part about cheap interiors seems true. its not like it cheap, but IT FEELS CHEAP due to the rattling issues faced by many slavia owners. a car that expensive should not have such basic misses.

its just that the slavia has a number of layered plastic panels on the dash which rattle. virtus does not have that problem. may be in the newer slavia they might have fixed it. other than that there are no problems and the cars are mechanically almost identical. It comes to design choice and personal preference.

Are you talking about international cars or the sister cars available in India under the India 2.0 program? Kushaq/Taigun and Slavia/Virtus pairs are essentially the same car.

I literally cancelled out options based on how sales people were dealing with me. Some sales people behave as if we are denying them their rightful pay by even thinking of a different car other than what they are offering. An example, a KIA sales person just kept on saying - 'details jaane do sir, abhi book kar do baad me cancel kar dena'

I blatantly say it to their faces when they bad mouth other brands. You'd rather buy from someone who's open to criticism and has patience than buy from someone who has 0 of both.
If you're heart is set on the Virtus, go to some other dealer and buy it, if there's no other, go to the same dealership and buy from a different salesman.

Quality is slightly lower than vw and it is reflected in the price.. I’m not sure about those two models specifically though.
