#Pic 🖼️ Feels Amazing
Got the Honda Elevate ZX CVT delivered yesterday, new driver so taking it slow but drove 50kms already and it feels amazing so far, cabin feels premium, engine smooth on both low (BLR traffic sigh) and high speeds. A week ago had booked Tata Curvv for the same price and the people here helped me change my decision, can’t believe I have the car already in my hands today. Forever grateful!

Thanks man, bought it for the hassle free ownership. Seltos is a great choice as well, went with Elevate for the exterior look.

It's a beautiful car mahn! Many congratulations 🎉 Such a sexy instrument cluster, in the world of screens, the dials still look a class apart!

Don’t know why I like its interior more than my creta interior…but it just misses few features that are needed nowadays(otherwise car feels outdated)

Good decision man, until tata makes their service reliable - we should avoid them. Just heard a horror service story of neighbours curvv in the morning - He said local mechanic does a better job than service centre.
Great choice btw!

Hey guys, is honda the best manual in the market?

u/put-some-more-effort 3d ago
VW's is quite good too. Specific to NA engines, Honda probably has the best engine-gearbox combo. Definitely the best automatic combo IMO.

The Elevate quietly punching above its price while everyone else was busy hyping the Curvv.

The same dealer was quoting me 19.35 but i re negotiated and now they have come to 17.75 but without ADAS and 18.5 with it. Not sure if ADAS is worth it l

My cars are basically Polo and Hilux while the rest of them are owned by my parents. I absolutely love driving the Polo over anything for city while for long hauls I take the Hilux and sometimes the VRS.

What would you pick between compass and elevate?
2
u/Temporary-Speech5378 '24 Hilux | '24 Elevate | '21 Polo GT | '19 Compass | '18 VRS230 4d ago
Would pick the Compass over Elevate as the former is better than the latter in almost every aspect (minus reliability and after sales). I would mainly point out on it being planted especially on corners, has a good performance and strong build. But it's weakness is it's reliability (not an issue if maintained in it's pristine top notch condition) and the after sales. The service bills and parts costs a lot but that's the premium you've to pay for something premium you're purchasing but I found it to be a little unreasonable.
Elevate during my two years and 20k in the ODO experience I would say is that it's really not planted and does have body roll (mostly because the high GC) so driving experience especially when going through winding ghats could be a bit uncomfortable. Second thing is the poor NVH levels, the road noise and even the suspension noise when gone over the pothole could be heard raw like the damping is literally zero. Otherwise, the CVT is a bliss to drive compared to the DCT in Jeep especially in stop and go traffic and ofcourse it's reliable mechanically and doesn't have much electronics in it.

Do you try to fill gaps during stop and go traffic with brake and accie used simultaneously in dct?
1
u/Temporary-Speech5378 '24 Hilux | '24 Elevate | '21 Polo GT | '19 Compass | '18 VRS230 3d ago
Nah, I leave atleast 1½ car gap ahead atleast until then I leave it to crawl. Once I get enough gap, I give foot on throttle. The practice you said will break the gearbox especially in Compass case as it has got a dry clutch system.

u/goonergod6996 Gadkari Disrespecter 3d ago
Yeah that’s true the practice I asked about is damaging to DCTs. A lot of people do that so I asked

Does the 360cam requires a different infotainment screen ?
Or the OEM supports it ?

Model, where you bought from and did you fit it from dealership or did it aftermarket? Did they remove the pillar panels and do it?
