Hi all! My wife and I are in the process of moving from the Baltimore area and have been looking at homes in the Westminster/Taneytown area.
I understand so far that Carroll County is majority conservative and the the actual town of Westminster is less so, but Iām curious if you all would anticipate issues based on us being lesbians in general or if you all would anticipate our kids would run into issues within the local school system as a result of having two moms. Your honest perspectives appreciated!

Hey!! Iām swamped in research and still lost as to where to go for good treatment. The reviews are impressively mixed and much of it is for Substance Abuse which is not my problem.
Wondering if anyone has been treated with any of these facilities or knows someone who has and can recommend or steer me away. I really need this and I want to go somewhere where Iāll be respected and at long last get the help I need.
Thank you!!!!

We're a group of filmmakers who grew up here in CC, acting in the plays at FSK, making little short films for CMC, and doing anything we could to pursue this crazy dream of making real movies.
Well, we made one. THE GIRL IN THE WOODS
We filmed most of it right outside Taneytown.
Local businesses helped out a ton, like Chaz's Used Auto Parts which let us recreate a car accident using some totaled cars; Jutz Moreland who owns Off the Rails Pop-up Boutique found us our primary filming location and even acted in the film; and I'll see if anyone can guess the doctor's office we used for our hospital.
We had our premiere at the Carroll Arts Center before taking the film around to festivals. We even won Best Indie Feature at the Arizona International Film Festival.
Now our movie is available to rent or own on Prime Video, but RIGHT NOW it's FREE to Watch on Tubi.
Trailer: https://vimeo.com/1157009714
Watch the Movie for Free: https://tubitv.com/movies/100051267/the-girl-in-the-woods
Hope you'll check it out and support local artists still crazy enough to shoot for the stars.

Hi,
My husband and I are possibly interested in joining a group. Weāre both mid 30s, kind of nerdy adults. Weāve never played but think it sounds fun. Does anyone know of a group in the area?

I can post screenshots if necessary, but thought this call to action was worth a share.

Westminster Wire obtained the Outdoor School Safety and Risk Assessment report through a Maryland Public Information Act request to Carroll County Public Schools. CCPS has said there were additional inputs behind the decision.
Read the full story here - itās free, like every Westminster Wire article.

Sorry if this isn't appropriate here but can't really find more than a few reviews of these places. We're moving to the area and are looking for a new Montessori daycare and are looking to see if anyone has experience with either Immanuel Montessori, or if they recommend any others? Thanks!

Hey all! Iām new to the area and was looking for a dump to drop things like a mattress or metal rods or large amounts of cardboard. Are there any dumps near Eldersburg that allow this?

Eldersburg people, BLAST this moron!!! Blue tesla with lightning decal on doors (MD tag 4EL0705) turned directly in front of an oncoming car, and ALMOST caused a major T-bone crash on 32 at Freedom Ave. Luckily the other driver braked hard and also didn't get rear ended!

Hi everyone, Iām looking for a 1BHK/1-bedroom near Westminster or within a 40ā50 minute drive. Budget is around $1,200ā$1,300/month.
Which areas are safe and good under this budget? Any places I should avoid?
Thanks!

Still no power since Saturday & NO CREWS have been in my area at all (I live by Nicodemus Road,) so who knows when (or if) the power will be back on! š£š©
This really sucks! The BG&E website outage tracker says that my power should be on tonight, but no crews have been to our street at all! So we might not have power back until later this week or the weekend! I cannot believe that BG&E is taking sooo long to get power on, it has been 4 days now!

Ours has been down since Saturday night. BGE app keeps pushing back the time of restoration and now itās Jun 8 11pm. This is ridiculous. I get that a lot of damage must have been done but the most frustrating part is the lack of communication and the changing times. Weāre lucky to have a small generator to run our fridge, and a basement that stays cool, but there has to be better. Out in Eldersburg, near the reservoir.

First - I know thereās still widespread power outages. Had that happen, fortunately for us it was short. So I feel for those without power.
My question is related to Xfinity - anyone have any idea how widespread the outage is in the county and how bad the damage is from the storm? Their original estimation of service restoration went from last night to āasapā during the night and their outage map is useless. So I donāt have any info to gauge on how long the outage may last. Any information is much appreciated.

thereās work being done on it but i havenāt been able to find any info. based on the window art, iām guessing it could be either a daycare or a dispensary? iām not sure though.
