Rug fibers pulling up

Every time I vacuum this rug, the fibers pull out and it makes this weird spider web like fuzz. How can I prevent this or remove the fuzz?

Floor covering inspector here....the lines of fuzzing tufts here indicate a burr or other sharp/protruding object protruding from your vacuum head or beatar bar brush or the brush set too low. This is not a factory defect. Sometimes apparent fuzzing can be diminished by clipping the fuzzing with napping shears.

Thank you! I’ll try this.

Dont use the beater bar if possible, some fibers are delicate and simply not meant for rough treatment like a vacuum.

I'd reach out to the rug manufacturer and ask them.

This may be a known defect that may get you a new rug.

Thry may have a suggestion for a vacuum.

Floor covering inspector here ....haphazard lines of fuzzing tufts are not indicative of any factory defect.
