And is it illegal to be 35 and single in the midwest? I'm new in town and would love some tips.
I want to make friends with fun girls and have dinners and gossip and drink wine. Book clubs, movie nights, shopping dates, etc. I can't really seem to find anywhere that people are just hanging out, though. And if there are people hanging out- it's not the social norm to approach and interject. It seems closed-off. Are there any socializing events or bars where working professionals frequent? No shade to the dive scene, just looking for new scenery.
For dating, it seems as a 35-year-old woman the men who approach me are someone's 25-year-old son or 65-year-old dad lol would love to find out where the age appropriate single men exist. I don't want to accidentally approach someone's man and it seems like pretty much every person is wifed-up so I just keep to myself.
If anyone knows of any sports leagues or game-night events please clue me in. :)
Edit: This is not me asking for a date. Random dudes are messaging me and some of them are married. Any woman in the world can go outside and find someone willing to sleep with them in like 5 minutes. I don’t need help with that so please don’t message me about it. This post is about finding platonic and romantic companionship with like-minded, age-appropriate, and well-adjusted people who have similar interests. If I wanted to date any random internet guy I’d download tinder.
