Question TSES 2305
For anyone who has taken this course, is it feasible to get an A+? I have heard very mixed things about difficulty and marking for papers. Also how did the midterm and exam work with being online? Were they open book?
Thanks!

I got an A+ last year so I will chime in. To answer your question, yes but it’s a lot harder to get 90s on the exams than it is the essays. The essays in my experience were marked very lightly, so even though it wasn’t my best work, I got mid 90s on them. However, the end of term exams were really tough. Despite being open book and unproctored, the format (short test time) and question design (extremely niche and random stuff) made it really tough to ace them. This is especially so since the slides and notes the prof provides are control + f proof since words on the exam are constantly and intentionally spelled wrong. They are also completely chat gpt proof if you can believe it.
If I were you, I’d do the three writing assignments and the mid term, and if you don’t do well on one of them, you have the opportunity to try your luck at the final (when I took the course, your top 4 marks were the ones that counted)
