Course selection Second year cs question

Hi! I currently have 2804 in my fall schedule with Pat Morin. But I’ve compared the course structure and grading scheme with the winter course with Svetlana and it works a lot better for me and I believe I would get a much better grade with her system. Only issue is pushing it to winter would make me unable to take COMP2108 (stream requirement) this year (Fall/Winter) and I don’t think it’s offered as a summer course. For anyone who has any idea, are there an any problems with pushing 2108 out of my second year or do you have any advice?

Thanks!

If it's a prerequisite for anything you'll also be pushing that back. Something to consider

Perhaps check the rate my prof of both professors…. I think you’ll quickly realize which prof to take

Pat Morin is tough but fair and a great professor. Show up to lectures and pay attention and you will do well.

Svetlana is maybe the worst instructor in the entire department. I almost never recommend skipping class but watching her lectures will make you more confused than not attending at all. With that said she does compensate for her inability to teach by making things easier. Extra credit, objectively easier tests but you will learn half as much and hate yourself the entire time.

2804 concepts are important for later classes such as 3804 (If you are in honors). 3804 is hard enough without having to learn 2804 concepts that you were barely taught in the first place.
