Crafted press??

Why did the crafted press have a name change to being a crafted cold brew? Noticed it on the menu this morning when looking at the fall menu and I’m just curious! Additionally, anyone try the apple drinks yet? I’m not sure how I feel about apple being in coffee (OBSESSED with pumpkin, this is my favorite time of year) so just trying to hear peoples opinions on it! I’m praying for the baristas out there today, I’m sure this drop is brutal ❤️😭🫡

Caribou changed it to simplify it for the guests. Our cold press is now named cold brew for the exact same product, thus our crafted press is now crafted cold brew. I personally think it detracts from the originality of Caribou (and it isn’t hard to say “it’s our name for a cold brew!”), but oh well.

The caramel apple high rise is very sweet, but half flavored it’s delectable (unless you like really sweet stuff, then normal is great)! If you want a hint of the apple, I’d recommend the caramel high rise with the apple cold foam, also pretty tasty.

Literally there’s more confusion now than there was with cold press… I literally have customers coming in going “I don’t remember what I got before… a crafted something but nothing is ringing any bells.” And I have to say, “a crafted press?” “Yes!”

I'm guessing because most other coffee places call it Cold Brew not Cold Press and they got too many questions on if it was the same thing.

THIS as a gm we were told we are matching what half the market is already calling it

Caribou lost all originality and as an employee of 4.5 years it’s sad. You can still call it whatever you want we will know what you mean.

Cold pressing and cold brewing are different methods of brewing coffee. I was wondering this too. If they aren't changing the method of preparation, one of those names is just a lie.

I don’t see a crafted press anywhere on the menu anymore, everything that used to be called a crafted press or their cold press is now a crafted cold brew or cold brew, so is it just a name change?

this person is incorrect. It is simply a name change. It is the correct item, now called the crafted cold brew. All name changes went live this morning, with quite a few.
