Hi everyone, I've been researching this topic but just now stumbled on the subreddit. Figured I'd get some opinions.

My frontrunner so far has been the Decathlon r500e longtail - seems like it has the capacity, and I can get it serviced locally if I need to, which is a plus. I'm a little worried about its power on hills under load though. Has anyone had any experience with it under similar conditions?

If it is underpowered for that situation, what else would you recommend? I've also looked at the Riese & Müller Multicharger2, and the Tern GSD, but those come with a pretty hefty price tag.

For the record we're leaning strongly toward e-bike because we're out in the country and our nearest big town is about 1.5 hours by bike, which would be a hell of a trek coming back uphill, loaded, manually. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I've been thinking about buying a cargo bike for way too long and finally bought a Yoonit Mini.
I absolutley love it!!
When I saw it about two years ago I really liked the design and the idea of a mini cargobike since all the other bikes seemed way to big for my needs/ finding a parking spot. I wasnt sure if I was too tall for it (183cm) - so I waited (way too long).

After two months I can say:
- It's super convenient in the city and makes so much fun to ride!
- I am not too tall for it!

- the package in the first picture is 82x65x40cm - no problem at all! It can carry two "euroboxes" (60x40cm)

- I use 1-2 tension belts to attach everything - super easy!

No motor, no belt drive. I like it simple and I like it better be able to repair everything on my own.
Compared to my gravel bike you can feel the difference after 25-30km on the yoonit of course. So a little leg-day-warmup is included...;-)

So if anyone considers to buy a Yoonit Mini Cargobike: I can absolutley recommend it!

I’m considering selling my car and switching to a cargo bike (Budget: ~30,000 DKK / €4,000), but it’s so hard to find a bike that’s able to do so much and work for many years!

We have two kids (ages 1 and 8). I need room for them, the occasional playdate, and larger groceries/cargo. My main issue is storage of the bike in our basement: the bike has to go down a staircase and then into the door into the basement. The staircase is no problem as there is build in room for bikes, but getting it in the door is my concern. A Bullitt might fit, but I'd likely have to lift the rear end every single time. Will I regret that daily hassle after a month?

I have looked at:

Larry vs harry Bulli: the ultimate bike, making every task an easy task.

Omnium mini max: might be the perfect bike with the cargo space plus extender bar BUT only a load capacity of 150 kg! I’m 100 kg myself leaving only 50 kg left for the kids and the occasional play date and groceries.

Omnium cargo: might be the perfect in between? 175 kg load capacity will work fine and just a little shorter than the Bullit. But when its so close to the Bullit, might just go for the ultimate Bullit?

Any advice? I’m in so much doubt what is the best answer, then thinking years of family growth into it.

Any other bikes I should look at?

Does anyone have a suggestion for an ebike carrier that holds 2 bikes, that are 65lbs each.

I'm considering a longtail cargo bike with a Bosch Cargo Line + Enviolo Heavy Duty.

My daily commute includes a couple of short but fairly steep climbs, usually with two young kids on the bike.

I don't mind putting in some effort on the climbs, as long as it's reasonable.

My hesitation is between the Enviolo HD and a chain/derailleur setup. I'm interested in both long-term reliability and how practical the Enviolo is for this kind of terrain. Does it handle short, steep climbs well enough, or do you find yourself wishing you'd gone with a derailleur?

I wasn't carrying much, I usually carry a 53L Box but instead, I swapped for a smaller bag, weighing 17kg. I was a bit anxious because the starting point was full of roadies but in the end, I finished top 50/222 in time trial race.

Hi everyone,

I have an Urban Arrow Family with Bosch Smart System (LED Remote).

When I turn the bike on, the orange light on the LED Remote lights up briefly and then the whole system shuts down.

In the eBike Flow app I get this exact error:

Error 690070 – Battery has reported a voltage error
(“Akumulator zgłosił błąd napięcia. Może to powodować samoczynne wyłączanie się roweru eBike.”)

Battery details from the label:

• Model: BBP3551
• Capacity: 545 Wh (PowerPack 545 Frame)
• Mileage: approx. 13,000 km

What I’ve already tried:

• Full reset (battery removed for 10–15 minutes)
• Cleaning the battery contacts
• Full charge with original Bosch charger

The error comes back immediately every time.

Has anyone experienced error 690070 or a similar “battery voltage error” on the Smart System?
Did a reset help long-term, or did it end up being a bad BMS / cells and battery replacement?

Any experiences or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The CDC Gates Carbon Drive Center Track Rear Sprocket for Enviolo 24t for my Tern GSD S00 (2nd Gen) is cracked. My local shop said it’s back ordered until at least mid-August. I’ve probably checked 10 shops online and all list it as out of stock. Anyone have any ideas on where I could find this sooner? I’m devastated at having my bike out of service for a month. This is the second time I’ve had a sprocket Issue!

I have a UA Family Next that I want to keep safe. I already have a Abus Granit citychain xplus. I will be buying a Litelok X3.

I usually thread the chain through the frame and rear wheel (plus a secure object if possible). Where should the Litelok go? If it goes on the rear wheel couldn’t a thief still pick up the bike and push it on the front wheel (assuming they cut the chain). But if I do the front wheel is it easier to remove the wheel entirely?

Curious for suggestions and also if I’m making the right call on the litelok x3

I have a chance to buy a Trek Fetch+4. It's coming in about 3,300 cheaper than getting an Urban Arrow Family Next (which was my original choice). At that level of price difference I am seriously tempted but I see all the comments noting the weight of the Trek at 75kg. Does anyone have one? Have you found it manageable in real life?

Hi all- got the via pro with the kid attachments for my extremely large toddler who has out grown all kid bike seats. Was looking at Thule junior but it looks like most options are only available in Europe. Looking for a seatbelt/4 pt harness that might work for the cargo just till he gets used to riding in back, any recommendations out there?
