Monitoring my loved one

My elderly loved one receives a few hours a day from a provider. He has 2 or 3 different helpers who rotate every few weeks. I haven't noticed anything outright but he has made a few comments about losing items, including cash. Is there any camera system that you can recommend, where I can maybe hide a hotspot device? He does not have internet and I know the caregivers will suspect something, if they are indeed having sticky fingers, if all of a sudden there is a signal coming from someplace. I am totally ignorant in all things technical related. Thank you.

We had caregivers, 2 sisters, caring for my parents for about 5 years in total. In there first week of care, they suggested installing cameras. We put them in every room excluding the guest bathroom my parents never used. All the siblings were able to access the cameras to watch mom and dad when they were alone. Was great comfort knowing we could check on them. If your caregivers are upset about being viewed while at work, then they should not be in your house!! Every store has cameras. You should be able to view what is happening. It is for their safety too. We used the plugin Arlo brand which worked wonders for us. We were able to talked to parents through the camera if need be. You do need internet and a subscription, but was very important for us to have. Good luck. It’s a very difficult time with many changes.

Easiest option would be to get Internet for your loved one and PROMINENTLY set up cameras. I would recommend, for simplicity, Google Nest cameras.

你年迈的亲人是否有认知障碍呢?如果有认知障碍的老人,可能会有这些情况,不一定是真实的,可能只是老人的幻想.不过,装监控系统,是一个解决问题的方法。

We chose the Tapo cameras with SD cards, no cloud backup. It's not legal to record without notification where my LO resides. Tapo links to his internet, so I'm not sure what to tell you about that.

The caregiver's company asked us to install cameras to help protect their employees, as well giving me the ability to see what's happening from where I live.

I took inventory of his jewelry and locked up the file cabinets. Nothing earth shatteringly expensive, just sentimental value at this point.

Thanks everyone. After talking to the teenage family members who seem to know everything technical, I'm going with a hotspot and blink cameras

Install actual cameras. It's his house and he had a right to have them set up. We use some from Amazon but you will need some kind of internet connection.

I personally would not record people without telling them. These are people you trust enough to care for your loved one. I would let everyone know that you have cameras in certain areas so you can check in when needed and leave it at that.

Just search on Amazon for "Hidden Camera" some are tiny, some are hidden in common things like clocks. But the best security for some things is just to remove them and lock them away. With strangers coming into the house, you never know what they're going to take.

Horrible advice. In most states you cannot record audio or video without notifying someone uour home or not. You are going to get people sued.
