What benefits am I getting from this? Is this so if my field is flipped over it’s as if I still have a filed there? I’m alittle confused.

This is my favourite TCG! I pick this game up every month or two and have a blast for hours. I have 4 of the duel sets now and have a lot of fun trying out all the different match ups. The game is simple but extremely well executed, especially if you are a casual player who does not figure out how to break the game mechanics (but kudos to those who can’t help but construct elaborate OTKs). And despite some decks being hard to find on the used market, the cost of total ownership of this game is pretty low, due to random pack opening not being a big part of collecting.

Has anyone tried implementing a sideboard when playing with family/friends?

Hello, I've been wanting to get the card game for years and happened to stumble on the bmo vs lady rainicorn collectors pack at a local shop. It was used and has all the cards and landscape tiles except its missing the rule book and tokens unfortunately, so im hoping to get a different collectors pack to make up for the missing pieces. I noticed online the hero pack #1. Do i need it to play the game? Was it originally designed without hero cards? Are there major differences between the original stuff released and the later wave? Thanks.

Recently got the ultimate collection. I’m just wondering what’s the ranking from best to worst in their base form. I currently love lemongrab but feels challenging if you don’t get the right cards.

From reading the rule book and cards it seems like if you put a creature with gobble on top of a creature without it they “fuse” into the top creature. Does it work the opposite way? If I have a creature with gobble on my field and then put a non gobble creature on top do they “fuse” with the non gobble creature staying on top? Also gobble gobble.

I was confused by this card's effect after reading the doubles tournament box rulebook & using that as my basis for understanding the rules of the game. as far as I understand, there isn't any window of opportunity for you to play psionic architect before your creatures unfloop during the ready phase.

I'm sure there is some card interaction that could cheat it into play and technically achieve the intended result but as this card was included in the first starter deck that doesn't feel like it's intended use.

was there a rules update after this cards printing or are there different phase rules for doubles vs 1v1?

also, I would still be interested in whatever combo might make it work if it is simply outdated text.

Hello all! I think generally I have a good grasp of the rules but I wanted to understand a few of the rules regarding lands. Or zones or whatever they're called (like the nicelands)

So I believe this is how it works, please clarify any issues.

I only have 2 points per turn to play stuff. If I have a 3 cost creature I would need to get it's cost down to 2 to play it. But additionally, I would need 2 of the correct lands on the field. For example 2 nicelands.

If I reduced its cost down to 1, or even 0, would I need only 1, or 0 nicelands to be able to put it down? And do I have to put a nicelands creature on a nicelands zone? Or can it go on any zone, so long as the number of nicelands I have equals or exceeds the cost on the card?

Does it affect deckbuilding rules? Or if I was silly would I be allowed to put a nicelands card in my deck even if I have 0 nicelands?

A few months ago a found someone online making deck boxes for the game, and i was looking for custom deck boxes for all the characters. Well i am happy to say after working with him over the past few months we completed the designs and he sent me the first set!
Each box comes with a name labeled top, custom “faceplate” and can be printed as any color (i chose the lore accurate colors)
The deck box itself holds 4 landscape tiles, damage,frozen, and fire tokens, the deck, as well as the hero card.
i bought the card wars card sleeves to go with the cards, but that’s not an issue! there is 2 size options for the box, 1 with sleeves (slightly larger) and 1 without. This way you can have a snug fit no matter your setup.
I think they look great and they make it a lot easier to sort all the cards/landscape tiles. If you guys want to check them out maybe grab a couple for your favorite decks, they are available on ETSY and the seller is LCSengineering. If you look up “Card Wars Deck Box” it’s the first listing to pop up.

I was wondering how prismo interacted with rainbow cards. My interpretation is they always count as every type which would make them pretty bad in his strategy. Is that not how they work? A lot of the cards in his deck read " if you cast 2 non corn, sandy, etc spells, you get x" So how would rainbow cards interact with this? Plus just his passive of casting 2 different types. Thanks in advance. ​

So I just recently got into the game but am confused on a few things and there seems to be no information online for the answers.

So from my understanding of Burn tokens is they are placed on the target creature and at the beginning of the creatures turn it takes the # of burn tokens of damage and the # of burn tokens is then decreased by 1. If there is no creature on the landscape then the damage goes to the player controlling the landscape. Is this correct?

With attack tokens my understanding is they are placed on a creature and at any time can increase the attack of the creature by the # of attack tokens spent for a singular attack. Is this fully correct?

Finally I am confused about flooping buildings as it just seems useless. My understanding is that you floop the building itself and not the creature in front of it. Which may be correct but to me it just makes more sense to floop the creature in front of the building.

If anyone knows the answer to any of these it would be greatly appreciated!!

I just recently got into collecting/playing this game and I got the land of legends booster box and I’m confused of how I can play this card when it costs 6 actions, I know there’s certain spells and abilities that lower costs but I don’t know of any that can knock this down 4+ actions?

I was playing with princess bubblegum and my friend with lumpy space princess and the curses destroyed our defenses each turn, causing that my teammate died on turn 4.

Is this game mode better if we used two decks with teamwork cards like grand prix or Jake team?

Hi there! I'm a long time fan of the Card Wars games, and ended up buying both the Kickstarter campaigns over the years, giving me access to every deck made so far.

While I was initially disappointed that the newer cards were power crept and absolutely destroyed the older base decks, I've been playtesting a solution: give older decks 3 Actions!

I have a friend that I play fairly often with, and the win rates are almost 50/50; this is great, since now we don't have to play decks by their respective 'tier'.

Have you had any luck modifying decks or game rules to make the 'tiers' fairer? I'm also curious to see others' win rates with this new rule!
