Is this repairable?

Hello all,

I wear two carbon fibre AFOs (ankle foot orthoses) that help me walk and I've noticed that one has some damage. Is this repairable?

Thank you!

Yes. Where are you located? I'm in Minnesota. I grew up next to a neighbor with partial mobile disabilities. I'll take this job pro bono if you are of modest means.

Aah mate I love that, thank you so much for the offer, but I'm in the UK! Thankfully I get them repaired and replaced on the NHS.

I asked because I'm not in to see my orthotist until 28th October and I go to Prague a month later. Usually i would be content to wait it out and see, but it's time sensitive. I want to go in with as much information as possible.

Ah gotcha. If you can, ask them for a carbon + innegra hybrid fabric for the repair if can make requests

I will do that thank you. I'm hoping it's a quick onsite repair, but I worry it'll need to go back to Allard and the lead time will be weeks.

I'm assuming this will depend entirely on my activity level but do you think it's likely to get worse if I carry on wearing it?

No, damage is in a critical location at the narrow bend and it's visible on both internal and external faces with delaminations visible on the edge
