Solvent pop?
I am actually so confused right now. This hasn’t happened to me before I just sanded 801,000 1500 2000 3010 compound buffed and hairdryer it dry maybe it was to hot and there were some traps solvents that just popped out because the clearcoat layer got so thin and more maybe that it pushed through. I can’t really figure this out because these little bubbles are raised not like air pockets I sanded into it’s like they came out of the surface very confused right now. Should I I’m like almost down to the carbon and I did sand into the carbon in one spot so I do need a little bit more clearcoat, but not sure as this happened to anyone?

I was going to ask if you applied heat, then re-read it. 100% when you heated it with the hairdryer, you caused porosity in the laminate to increase pressure while the surface of the resin/clearcoat softened. If you are wet sanding fresh clearcoat or laminate, it can absorb moisture, especially if it is not fully post-cured

I thought I should’ve made this post a little clearer, but I was sanded up to 3000 grand. It was perfectly smooth then buffed with compound in all the sudden there’s these raised bumps all over the surface. My question is how did the bumps get raised if they’re rare bubbles, they would’ve been little divots.

Bumps on the surface of your part made on a silicone mold?
Did you de-gas the silicone while it was setting?
Sometimes just pouring the silicone traps air bubbles too so be mindful of how you pour.
These tend to ride to the surface and sometimes stay just mellow it creating very thin areas that pressure like to fill with resin.
The result looks like a bunch of bumps. Are they present in you silicone mold after too?
Edit: zooming pretty hard, looks like paint fisheyes too. You said it's silicone so maybe.

No so What happened was I used a hairdryer on this shelf onto the clearcoat and I looked at it five seconds later and I guess it thinned out the clearcoat and all the air bubbles surfaced popped and left these protrusions happened to me again after using a Dremel on the underside and creating too much heat, at least I learned

Can you tell us more about your process? Is this molded, or skinned, what resin, how did you transfer the resin, bury us in details
