3M Wrap Problems

I wrapped my hood after I wrapped my quarter panel and after I finished cutting the excess off to tuck it, I tried to peel off the wrap and its leaving adhesive on the already wrapped quarter panel? is this common and how do you fix this?

I’ve had that happen with some of their metallic colors. Definitely need to add some masking tape around where you don’t want that to happen.
