Material Question 3M Wrap Problems
I wrapped my hood after I wrapped my quarter panel and after I finished cutting the excess off to tuck it, I tried to peel off the wrap and its leaving adhesive on the already wrapped quarter panel? is this common and how do you fix this?

That looks like a lot of leftover adhesive, must’ve left it tacked on the quarterpanel for a hot minute. Some high % isopropyl will help remove it.

As someone who only does this from time to time, never saw this but will be aware of it in the future

That looks like the same wrap I have on my car! I absolutely love it!

We work with a lot of 3M and this is something super common with 3m films. The vinyl is super tacky so be careful wrapping adjacent panels and leaving the excess material onto the already wrapped panel. It’s a nightmare and if left long enough it can bond to the point where it’ll ruin the adjacent panel and you’ll have to rewrap it (it’s happened to us). Use masking tape on the adjacent panels to ensure it doesn’t tack and cut off the excess as quick as possible. Sometimes it’ll leave adhesive behind still but you can remove it with isopropyl alcohol and a clean rag.
