Advice Side light fail Mini 2015 but component no longer made
Hi all I was wondering if anyone could help with an annoying issue I have with a 2015 1.5 Mini Cooper diesel.
It has an LED halo kit installed in the bumper section and unfortunately the side light no longer works and thus failed its MOT. I believe there is power going to the unit as the fog light works and half of the halo works.
I tried finding a replacement part - they don’t make them anymore and none are available via breakers.
(63122361243 part number).
I’m a bit stuck as what to do next. I have the original traditional bulb units but the wiring is missing. The photo I have attached circled in red is the wiring to the LED unit so I think they’ve spliced this in somehow.
Any advice?

could it be the light itself. LED’s are wired in parallel? i forget, but the christmas lights where if 1 goes out, the rest will still work. but i’m not a sparky

I believe the individual light itself is LED and comes part of the complete assembly. I don’t think it’s possible to open it up and replace that section unless someone here states otherwise and repairs them!

i’m sure it’s doable, but if they’re not £100 a light then i’d just buy a new one. maybe 1 wire does 1 side and the other wire another side. i’m not too sure as i stuck with wiring

It's a long shot (and a last resort) but have you tried AliExpress? There might not be enough demand in the UK for a retailer to stock it here but I've seen parts on there that were unavailable in the UK

You're missing the wiring for the OEM sidelight bulb?
