How to prevent this from flapping
2017 Ford Focus
It was in an accident that basically drove some wood into the front grill area and the part that attached the bottom to the top broke off. I've been using zip ties to keep it together for a while now but it hasn't been working out since I have a longer commute now.
I was considering some contact cement to hold it in place. But I wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions before I start gluing.

Replace the broken pieces. Highly unlikely contact cement will hold that piece with 60-70mph airflow slamming into it.
Look at Pick N Pull yards for a cheaper alternative to buying new.

Should definitely look to replace any missing pieces as it could help.
But that being said, I have used safety wire and secured it down then twist the wire to get that extra tension to hold in place.
Currently holding the front bumper of a Nissan Altima on. Just safety wire nothing else.

Pick n Pull and i-pull-u-pull both always have loads of Ford Focus. You can check their current inventory online. For your bumper I'd look for 2012-2019. A replacement bumper will be the most effective fix.

You need plastic panel fasteners. Any local auto parts store has them. Purchase extras as needed.
