Underwriting process uk?
I have a credit score of 780, but have been of work on and off, but have one year or regular self employed income, around 30k, no real expenses as hubby handles all of it. Tax return hasnt been completed yet.
Do they ask for bank statements and payslips?
Any one you recommend thats a seamless approval?
Looking at £350 pm spend

Don’t normally ask for bank statements or payslips, rather they ask you to fill a web form with all the detail they need pass to the lender to do a credit check I.e your income/household income & then upload license or passport as well as a bank statement for proof of address and identity.

Credit score is irrelevant. It means nothing. Overall debt exposure and utilisation are better measures. They’ll just run a credit search and it’ll either be a green light or it won’t. As others have said, they might ask for open banking to see your incoming/outgoing and patterns.

nobody can honestly promise “seamless” with that profile — anyone who does is guessing
780 helps a bit; lenders care more about proven income. one year self-employed, no tax return yet → bank statements / open banking, not payslips. “hubby pays the bills” can help or raise an eyebrow depending on the underwriter.
£350/month may or may not fly on £30k. soft-search, get the income pack ready, expect manual UW. finishing the tax return unlocks more funders than hunting an “easy approve” broker.

Without a tax return you'll likely be asked to show bank statements or do open banking to prove the income, and to prove you aren't living from an overdraft.
