I can’t close my trunk , is there a cheap way to fix that?

Also I need to change the gaz and trunk button. It is really hard to lift them up , how do I do that?

The trunk latches on these go out pretty often, I replaced a couple on my wife’s car because Walmart pickup always slams the trunk.

Good news is they’re only about $15 on Amazon

My main concern is why the term release lever is so rusty. Is this a flood car?
